Steve’s technical background and surveying experience covers a broad range of disciplines, with his main experience lying in dilapidations, contract administration, reinstatement cost assessments and building surveys.
Whilst his knees are not what they used to be, outside of the office Steve enjoys wakeboarding and snowboarding. As a big foodie, you’ll often find him knocking up a storm in the kitchen or perfecting his coffee making skills.
Harjit Johal, Senior Building Surveyor
Harjit enjoys all aspects of project and building consultancy, with a particular interest in dilapidations, project work, and historical buildings.
Harjit brings years of industry-related experience covering a wide range of commercial properties.
Harjit’s journey into the construction/property sector stems back to his school holidays while labouring and learning trades across his father’s residential building projects.
He then went on to run the family construction business which led to his career in building surveying. Since then, he has worked as a Building Surveyor for various international commercial property consultancies.
When not on-site, you’ll find Harjit enjoying sport, walks through areas of natural beauty, and family picnics at National Trust properties.
Steven Marshall, Senior Building Surveyor
Steven has over 15 years’ experience as a building surveyor working predominantly within the public sector for a number of local authority organisations.
Steven has worked on projects covering all aspects of the building surveying profession on a wide range of commercial buildings such as museums, entertainment facilities, leisure and retail centres as well as schools and industrial buildings.
Steven claims he is “very average” at playing the guitar despite having practiced for over 25 years.

Dominic was once dubbed ‘Sammy Saint’ at a premier league game. He was accosted by a mob of angry children, explaining “it was not a good experience”.
