Project Summary
This 9-unit residential development in Esher, Surrey, marks another joint venture with Trident Property Construction and Highbrook. Designed to deliver high-quality living spaces in a prime location, the scheme continues HORDE’s focus on thoughtful, sustainable and well-specified homes.
Location
Located in Esher, one of Surrey’s most desirable commuter towns, the development will benefit from excellent transport links to London, a strong local community, and access to outstanding schools and amenities.
GDV of £8.5 million
The Development
The site will deliver a mix of homes, comprising two detached houses, two pairs of semi-detached houses, and three apartments to be sold as ‘first homes’. This thoughtful blend ensures the development meets the needs of a wide range of buyers, from first-time homeowners to growing families.
The existing property on the site has already been demolished, unlocking a previously landlocked parcel of land that had been neglected for many years after being annexed from the neighbouring manor house. Historic records suggest the land once served as an orchard, a character we are mindful to respect as the site evolves.
In line with planning requirements, and our own values, the project is designed to protect and enhance the existing treescape, preserving the semi-rural feel of the site. We are also committed to enhancing the biodiversity net gain of the site, with careful ecological management that includes the safe relocation of reptiles to a donor site elsewhere within Elmbridge Borough.
The Site
The Esher site provides the canvas for a contemporary residential scheme that complements its surroundings while introducing the sustainable technologies that define HORDE’s developments.
We have carefully selected the materials to complete the envelope of the building to provide a quality feel and, at the same time, ensure the new homes sit harmoniously within the surrounding built environment.
The Layout
A carefully considered site layout maximises light, space, and privacy. Homes are positioned to be in-keeping with existing properties and encourage neighbourly connections while ensuring functionality for modern living.
We have been careful to retain as much of the mature vegetation and trees as possible to both provide seclusion from neighbouring dwellings and preserve the semi-rural atmosphere of the site.
The Spec
As with all HORDE projects, the Esher scheme will meet a premium standard of specification, combining sustainable design with future-proofed technologies such as air source heat pumps and underfloor heating, along with EV charging infrastructure.
Layouts internally have been carefully tweaked and considered to reflect modern living and maximising convenience
The Infrastructure
The development will benefit from strong existing infrastructure in Esher, ensuring seamless integration of utilities and services to support high-quality, sustainable homes.
