This project involves the conversion of a large three-storey, multi-let office building into residential accommodation. The property originally comprised six compartments (Units 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 6a). The current scheme focuses on transforming Units 2, 3, and 4 to create nine high-quality residential units, enhancing the local housing provision.
Brief:
HORDE Building Surveyors were appointed to provide independent monitoring surveying services in Thame, overseeing the conversion process to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, lender requirements, and project objectives.
Project Outcomes:
The development is now in its final stages, with completion expected in February 2025. HORDE’s role included:
- Conducting regular site inspections to verify construction quality and adherence to approved plans.
- Monitoring project timelines and budgets to mitigate potential risks.
- Providing detailed reports to stakeholders on progress, compliance, and any necessary interventions.
- Ensuring health and safety regulations are met throughout the conversion process.
By maintaining a proactive and collaborative approach, we have supported the delivery of this project, ensuring that the newly created residential units meet the highest standards and are completed on schedule.
